{dis}organized.

I am admittedly disorganized.

Sure, I am somewhat of a clean freak which is sometimes confused to also be an organization freak. Ha, ah, Ha, ha, ha, HA! Not so much.

For example, I sweep and mop most everyday. I pick up toys every hour on the hour, and I can’t stand clutter. But the drawers? The closets? The pantry? They need serious help.

And really? I need help too.

For one thing, my brain just doesn’t work in an organized way. It’s like I don’t even understand how to organize things in the first place, much less keep them organized.

So this is what happens…

Everyone meet Pantry. Pantry meet everyone.

This, friends is my mess.

Want more evidence? There is much, much more.

More? Well, sure, why not?

The other pantry? Here ya go.

And the bottom? It’s a wreck too, thanks for asking.

Is that enough for you to agree that I’m a mess?

Here’s the real truth friends. Most days I am thoroughly exhausted by 7pm after playing, loving, teaching, and mothering my precious ones. During naptime I normally do basic cleaning/laundry and organization just doesn’t fit into the equation. But, I also know that it must be done…sometime.

For an organization dummy like myself it seems so overwhelming! Not to mention that this pantry is a VERY small part of my organizational drama. The drawers/closets/unfinished basement that is loaded with C-R-A-P. If I think about it too long my head begins to explode.

Any tips on how to clean up this mess of the pantry? I figure that little by little I can get this house organized, right? Right people? I need help!

So, help me!

    Hi Sweet Friend!

Baskets, baskets, baskets! Now I, too share your problems with organization. The outside of things usually looks as bad as the inside….hence, I am domestically challenged!

Pinterest is a great place to look for ideas and also there is a blog I love to read. Naptimedecorator.com (I think). If you look through her blog you will find all sorts of great decorating/organizing ideas!

Good Luck….if you figure the magic potioin for all things organized….please do share!!!! :)

get all the like things together on one shelf- organize by category so at least if the shelves are a mess you an still function. like i put all the baking stuff together, then the cans then the pantry staples (like tuna etc) that way when it does get gross i still know what shelf to look on for things i need!

Molly molly molly, organization is just that O R G A N I Z A T I O N….everything has a place and everything in its place…just make everything that is is the same and/or has similar use be in the same of similar place…i.e., cereal all together…cans all together…baking items all together then organize within those groups…boxes largest to smallest…or types of can goods…vegies..soups..fruits…I even know some people that alphabetize their spices…this works for eveything…paper products…all together….office supplies all together…just decide how you like to work…colors…shapes….alphabetic…and then also put items where it makes since…coffee goes by the coffee pot…baking items go by the mixer and measuring cups…What in the world do you do with all that couponing stash that you buy ???? You need to make yourself a mini grocery store in the basement…so that means shelves….I LOVE TO ORGANIZE AND DO IT ALL THE TIME…..HUGS

What do you put in the baskets?
Pinterest makes me feel like a big loser. I could NEVER in a bazillion years be as cool/creative/well organized as those peeps.
